The Schmiede Festival brings media artists together for ten days of collaboration, but the final exhibition lasts only a single evening. Guests arrive after the fact - they see the work, but never the atmosphere that shaped it.

Memory Leaks addresses this gap through augmented reality. Throughout the festival, illustrator and media artist Eni Brandner documented moments of connection, collaboration, and daily life. These captured scenes were then placed as AR overlays throughout the exhibition space.

Visitors could hold up their devices and discover fragments of the past - traces of what happened in these same rooms days before. The glitchy aesthetics of early AR capture technology reinforced the work's central mood: memory as something fragmentary, imperfect, always slipping away.
